ABOUT THE PRODUCER
SLOAN ESTATE, perched on the eastern hills of Rutherford across 40 spectacular acres, overlooks the Napa Valley floor at elevations ranging from 875 to 990 feet above sea level. The 13 acres under vine were planted in 1997 on a mineral-rich, porous soil of fractured volcanic rock and sandy loam. The perfect blend of white tufa soil, a cool marine influence, and generous sun exposure forms the ideal site for growing fruit of a distinct quality and crafting exceptional wines that are compelling expressions of these elements.
MARKET SENTIMENT
'SLOAN Estate has firmly established itself on the global fine wine market as one of the top estates in the Napa Valley. With production miniscule – only 700 cases of the SLOAN 2018 were produced – availability is at a premium.'
