A beautiful, vintage, 18k yellow gold, Van Cleef & Arpels, ruby and diamond ring from the Alhambra collection. The four-leaf clover motif is set with a single claw set ruby weighing 0.47ct. The petals of the flower are pave set with round brilliant cut diamonds totalling 0.43ct. The ring is currently a size UK J (EU 49/US 5 1/4) and has a gross weight of 5.2 grams.


Created by Van Cleef & Arpels in 1968, the four-leaf clover-inspired Alhambra jewellery collection established itself as a timeless symbol of luck. A celebration of the maison's creativity, its pure lines and distinctive beaded silhouette are brought to life with a broad palette of natural materials.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

In the style of a beautiful romantic novel, the story of the brand Van Cleef & Arpels began with a couple in love, Estelle Arpels and Alfred Van Cleef. 


These two designers also had a passion for the world of designing jewellery. It was, therefore, only natural for them to decide to launch their own brand of jewellery in 1896. The newlyweds came from families of artisans and traders in precious stones. 


It was only ten years after its creation that Van Cleef & Arpels moved into premises on Place Vendôme, one of the most prestigious locations in Paris for high-end jewellery. With precious products like the Alhambra collection, the label won over the hearts and minds of female customers and, more tellingly, of professionals working in the industry.
